Throughout her 23 years of teaching, Emily has learned the importance of emotional well-being and the impact that support and understanding can have on individuals. Emily uses her knowledge and passion to evolve it in a more personalized level.

Through Future Focus Counseling, Emily applies a solution-focused, strength-based, and systems approach to therapy. Her passion is evident in the work she does everyday. She cares deeply for the well-being of others, especially with respect to children and families.

Emily earned a Master's Degree in counseling with an emphasis in couples and families from the University of Colorado. During her clinical work, she provided therapy to individual college students, couples and families at the CU Denver Student and Community Counseling Center. Emily also interned with a private practice where she worked with children, couples and families while volunteering at the Hazledon Betty Ford Children's Program.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys being outdoors with her husband and son, cycling, snowboarding, hiking and camping. Emily also enjoys doing a little sewing, reading a good book, and watching HGTV.
